I was born and raised in Northern California and developed a love of reading at an early age. I was always making up stories, but I never considered myself a writer.
Eventually, I followed my inner geek and my love of math to a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Sacramento, and a career as an IT Architect in the heart of Silicon Valley.
On a whim in 2002, I signed up for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Much to my surprise, I wrote over 100,000 words in a month and rediscovered the joy of telling stories. I continued writing—just for fun—and participated annually in NaNoWriMo.
In 2007, my husband and I moved to the tranquil Willamette Valley of Oregon, where we consider ourselves lucky to live just over the hill from one of Oregon’s premiere wine regions. I knew I wanted to take my writing to the next level and, when we moved, I decided to join a local chapter of Romance Writers of America®.
I turned my focus to writing full-time after I became a casualty of the corporate buyout of the Silicon Valley company for which I worked. Now instead of writing code, I can be found in front of my computer creating new worlds and telling stories I hope to one day be fortunate enough to share.
