I was born and raised in Northern California and developed a love of reading at an early age. It wasn’t long before I discovered making up my own stories was even more fun. My first serialized novel, Teddy Bear Invasion From Outer Space, kept my third-grade classmates enthralled for week after week with its thrilling escapades!
Eventually, I followed my inner geek and my love of math to a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from California State University, Sacramento, and a career as an IT Architect in the heart of Silicon Valley.
On a whim in 2002, I participated in National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). Much to my surprise, I wrote over 100,000 words in a month and rediscovered the joy of telling stories. I continued writing–just for fun–and have participated annually in NaNoWriMo ever since.
In 2007, I moved with my husband to the tranquil Willamette Valley of Oregon, where we consider ourselves lucky to live just over the hill from one of Oregon’s premiere wine regions. Seeking to improve my writing and to learn about the business of publishing, I joined the local chapter of Romance Writers of America®.
After becoming a casualty of a corporate buyout of the Silicon Valley company for which I worked, I turned my focus to writing full-time. Now instead of writing code, I can be found in front of my computer creating new worlds and telling stories I hope to one day be fortunate enough to share.
